Counselling

The move into a college environment is often an enjoyable learning and social experience. However we know that change is not always easy to deal with or adapt to, so you don’t have to cope alone.

Counsellors will help you to face these challenges in a confidential, safe and supportive environment where you can talk over any difficult issue whether current or in the past. Nothing is too big or too small to bring to counselling. Counsellors will not tell you what to do; they will respect your rights to make your own decisions. Counselling can help you focus on particular difficulties and help you decide how best to tackle problems which can be solved, and how to come to terms with those which cannot.

If you would like to speak with a Counsellor, ask at reception or Student Services to find out where to make an appointment on your campus.

Chaplaincy

Representatives of various religious denominations are available to offer you support, advice and friendship. Chaplains regularly visit tutorial groups to talk about the range of support available.
